Had the crab stuffed ravioli and my wife had the mahi mahi. Mine had so little crab, and drowned in so much over-salted rosemary sauce, that I couldn't taste the crab. The mahi mahi was over-cooked and dry. The waitress was excellent and friendly but it's not a place we'd recommend.

This is my husband and my favorite restaurant at the beach and a definite "Must Go" if you are in Rehoboth. The restaurant has mad accommodations for our large group even in the summer when we have called ahead. In addition, the have excellent specials on the weekends on Saturdays a 3-course meal for either $25 or $30 with their entire menu as selections plus 1/2 price bottles of wine and Sundays with buy one entree get one 1/2 off. Our favorites are the Asiago crusted grouper which is a perfect blend of sweet and salty, their scallops entree that come with more than a half dozen resting in a savory seafood cream sauce, and their Guinness Mahi Mahi. The restaurant is in a cute little yellow house that have wonderful artifacts on the walls and is very romantic. Great for a date night!

Not a bad restaurant for the beach I had the Shepherd's pie, which was tasty with lots of lamb. The crab cakes were good but could have used a little less filler. Plenty of things on the menu for all tastes. I enjoyed a Guinness while dining. Got right in without a reservation.

It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. Manager or host wasn't super hospitable which is ironic based on what their tag line is for the restaurant: "ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND WELCOMES". The waitress was friendly but the host just left a bad taste in our mouth. Food was okay but not great (we got the steak & cake). Prices were decent but it doesn't matter if food is mediocre. Poor wine selection for non beer drinkers. It didnt make a great impression on us overall and definitely won't go back a 2nd time.

Visited with my boyfriend after a great day at the beach. This was a repeat visit so we were expecting to have the same great experience with food and service from our visit last summer. Things were different this time. First of all, my guess is that this business is quite successful in the area so the owners just don't seem to care about customers any more. The strange, moody behavior of the waitress confirmed this when we were told that we can't split a meal because in her own rather irately forceful words, "the owner likes to make his money." We said that was okay and tried to order an entree from the regular menu to share. However, the waitress didn't allow that either, sounded like she was about to throw a fit, and ultimately, we were forced to order more food than we were hungry for. Wasn't fun to be made to sound like cheap customers when we clearly explained that we were absolutely stuffed from a happy hour and would like to split a meal because we were just not that hungry and only looking for a light dinner. We didn't find a disclaimer on their menu stating that meals at their restaurant are not meant to be shared. We have shared 3-course and regular meals for precisely the same reason at other places and never encountered bizarre treatment or guilt trips from wait staff. The waitress then made a big deal about having given us table bread and came by asking us twice not how everything was but "What's wrong?" It was awkward to say the least even though we ended up dropping a pretty decent amount on the grouper entree, the mussels appetizer, and a full bottle of wine. And because we are forgiving people, we ended up still tipping the moody waitress a good 15%. The food and wine were quite good but the awkward experience with the waitress soured our experience here. Will not be returning to Stoney Lonen. There are lots of other nicer restaurants in the area with great food and humble staff members who don't throw fits on customers.

I'm not at all surprised they're closed permanently. Their food was delicious, but service was always terrible. On any given night, busy or not busy, the service was always so slow, and orders were usually screwed up. That was always my experience. Lowest tips I ever left in my life. Kept going back because their food on certain days was half price.

You absolutely must try this place if you are in rehoboth....first off, the Saturday night special was an incredibly good deal. $30 for a 3 course meal and 1/2 price bottles of wine. Please try the Los Vacos Cabernet. We had the calamari and the brie, which was amazing. The scallops were my main and the man got crab cakes. All around deliciousness... The chocolate pecan pie was the most amazing dessert I think I have ever had. The service was excellent. Ana was personable and professional and very friendly. This is a must visit for every time we come back and recommend giving it a try to everyone in the area

Visited with Nicole B after sitting on the beach all afternoon. We stopped at several restaurants looking for happy hour specials with seafood. Stoney Lonen had 1/2 lb steamed shrimp for $5.95 and $5 Svedka vodka martinis, exactly what we were looking for. I had a cosmo which I have never had before. YUM, a new drink for me! The shrimp were large and delicious, and we also tried the bangers which were good, too. The bartender and the manager/owner were friendly, and Nicole recognized them from Starboard and McGlynns. It's very dark and cool inside, not where I would want to spend a sunny beach day but fine to cool off afterward. I would come back to try some of the specials like Lobster & Crab Claw Fest - Whole Steamed Lobster, 1/2 Lobster Stuffed w/ Crab Imperial or 3 Course Dinner Choices From our Entire Menu $25 or $30.

Great food and very enthusiastic service (funny and kinda nutty waitress). Our old staple is the Caesar salads with the salmon infused dressing, which was very good but it was the main events that really opened our eyes. Each of our dishes were fantastic. We got: the fish and chips, flatiron steak salad, Gaelic chicken, scallops, and mahi mahi. It was all very very good - much better than we all recalled. For those who have not stopped in Stoney's - make sure you try it out. You'll be pleasantly surprised how good your tummy feels afterward.

Great happy hour apps- grouper, crab dips, onion rings were incredible- cheap beer. Chester was awesome. BEST of Rehobeth.

I have stopped in here twice this year. The first time just for drinks with my mom. We talked to someone that worked in the kitchen for a while and the bartenders were super friendly. Came back with Sherry J for happy hour. She discovered a new drink which is always a good find for the drink princess! We shared the shrimp which were really good and the bangers. I will keep going back for the shrimp and try some other things on the menu. Bangers were different but not sure if we need them again. They also have a lot of other specials for dinner to try. 3 course prefix some nights and half price wine. We will be back!

We have gone to Stoney lonen often for about four years. Friday nights are our favorite. Fish n chips for $10 which are a large portion and fresh and hot. They serve $4 Guinness, harp, n smithwicks. If you are there from 4-7pm on Friday you also have selected half price appetizers. The salads are good even though they don't have lots of options. We have had mani mani and shepards pie which are always good. The scallops were not but to par and after two tries we don't have them. We stick to what they do well. They served Maine root beer in glass bottles which is my fave but haven't last two visits. That makes me sad so I have skipped it. The desserts are good.

After traveling to Rehoboth on Friday afternoon and settling into our lovely room at the Bellmoor Inn we ventured out to city center to see what we could see. First stop was the Stoney Lonen...a quaint old cottage converted into a bar/restaurant not unlike many of the places off the main drag in Rehoboth. The bright yellow and green exterior, a huge Guinness sign and the specials board touting $3 drafts drew us in immediately. A small pub'ish bar area had a crowd of about 20 folks chattering about travel, cruise experiences mostly and of course the day's golf results and a bit of sports on the TV. Nice staff - ordered a pint of course - enjoyed a bit of time there but didn't sample any of the food. Cute place...family owned....and will make a stop here again when we return.

Wow I would go back here in a heartbeat. My friend and I keep fantasizing about the delicious dinner we had there yesterday! But alas she is now back in Atlanta and I am in DC :( I'm always looking for good crab-based/oceany restaurants that are a step up from Go Fish or something greasy and cheap like that when in Rehoboth, and the crab dip with baguette appetizer caught my eye as we walked by (so many places served chips with their crab dip...uhm, no thanks...how wimpy is that?). So much so in fact that we saved it for dinner our last night at the beach. Seriously, the hot crab/artichoke dip served with toasted baguette was so yummy, I only wish I'd had more toasted bread. But the bread they give you for the table is very nice and sour-doughy, and a little of that sufficed to stretch the dip out after the bread that came with it was all gobbled up. We also split some rum raisin bread pudding which was great, and sipped on pleasant Cosmos with our meal. My friend got the crab cake entree and it was served with asparagus. I have to say I enjoyed the little bit of her crab cake I had as well...a little more nuanced than all the other crab cakes I've had in town, with some sort of special sauce drizzled over. We stretched our visit wayyyy out too from 4-6 to avoid an impending storm, so that made it feel like an even cozier adventure somehow. Ha, and I even loved the music they were playing...like 70s R&B mellow classics. Silly and non-pretentious. Server girl was very sweet and attentive as well. Maybe next time I'll have room to try the mussels....

While vacationing at Rehoboth Beach, my family and I were looking for a restaurant that had a nice atmosphere, was kid friendly, and served good food. At first, we thought Stoney Lonen might be too fancy to bring a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Luckily, everything worked out just fine for 8 adults and 2 kids. In fact, we saw that a lot of families there had young children too (at least for the 5:30pm dinner seating). This was great since we did not want to be the only loud table. To start, our group ordered the 1/2 pound Steamed Pick n Peel Shrimp appetizer to share. It was on their special menu. The shrimps were a good size and had a dusting of Old Bay seasoning. Everyone really liked it, so we ended up ordering a second basket. For the entree, I had the 1/2 Crab Stuffed Lobster, also on their special menu. The 1/2 lobster was a decent size, cooked perfectly, and the crab stuffing had a great flavor. My husband ordered the 1/2 price Fish n Chips and really enjoyed it. I also had a chance to taste my mother-in-law's Steamed Mussels, which were also very good....plump, tender, and juicy. The service was excellent. Our waiter did a great job keeping everything moving along, something we greatly appreciated because with two toddlers, you never want slow service. I'm sure if we are ever in the area again, we would come back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice family dinner outing.

Fantastic! First and foremost if you get anything with breaded fish you are in for a treat. I had the fish tacos (which aren't listed on the menu but the waitress said if they had tortillas they would make them, and they did) and the fish was breaded to perfection, and had a delicious topping sauce. The cabbage was a little much, but added a perfect texture. My dining partner had fish &chips, and enjoyed it throughly. The breaded fish was absolutely fantastic, and the tartar sauce was good but not overpowering. The fries weren't anything special in my opinion because they failed in comparison to the fish. We shared the 3 course menu special for $25 and additionally got Irish Nachos as an appetizer, they were great as a starter, and the potatoes we're cooked to perfection. The dessert was to die for- brownie with hot fudge and ice cream. The brownie was warm, it was topped with powdered sugar and the right amount of ice cream finished the meal out perfectly. The wait was about 30m on a Saturday night, so get there early or call in to see how long the wait will be- pretty much standard for anywhere in the area on a summer Saturday night

Another vacation in Rehoboth, another great dinner at Stoney Lonen! Really an excellent meal. I had the fish tacos which were a special that evening. Same delicious ale battered fish as in their fish and chips - which are great. The fish was well-complemented by a salsa filling with crunch and perfect spice. Sevred with rice and asparagus.....a really great dish. And, large - three soft shell tacos for $15.95. My wife had the grilled mahi mahi.....very nicely done. Service was also top draw. Our waitress suggested splitting a house salad rather than our original order of two side salads - better $ value. A great place to eat at the beach. Definitely recommend.

My husband and I went here on a recent trip to Rehoboth, and had the three-course prix fixe menu for $25. The restaurant was cozy (we ate in a wood-paneled side room with tiny candles on the tables) and somewhat more upscale, but with a relaxed feel. The food was pretty good. I had the fried oysters, which provided 6 or 7 oysters which were not too oily. My husband's fried onion rings were on the greasy side (but they are what they are). For the main meal I had the Asiago-crusted Florida grouper, which was lightly seasoned and delicious. My only complaint was that I had two filets where one would have been sufficient. They came with decent mashed sweet potatoes and some asparagus (which we both agreed was a stand-out). My partner liked his chicken with cream sauce and wild rice. We were pretty full by dessert time, but had ordered the brownie (him) and rum raisin bread pudding (me). Both were probably twice the quantity that we needed, and the bread pudding was a little disappointing (not a very noticeable rum flavor), though it was complemented well by the vanilla ice cream. We left very full, but enjoyed the meals and nice ambiance.

Always fresh and delicious seafood here, with classic Irish and British beers. Cozy, relaxing place, with a reliable cobbler for dessert. And don't forget to have a cup of the seafood chowder!

Meh. The atmosphere isn't very pub-like. More restaurant. The beer list was anemic. Our server said they had run out of a lot of the scotches they had and now didn't have a list. Huh? We couldn't get her to even tell us what scotch they did have. I'm glad it was half price fish night because my entree was a pecan-encrusted fish that seemed lightly breaded. No hint of pecan in the flavor. The mashed sweet potatoes were ok and then there was a fresh tomato and herb salad that was an unlikely and unpleasant flavor marriage with the rest. My husbands lobster ravioli in cream sauce was heavily flavored with rosemary such that the lobster was entirely overpowered. The kids meal was a good deal and the paper tablecloth was fun for coloring. I would not recommend, but in a pinch it would do.

Great Fish n Chips and they are on special Friday for $9.95, along with $3.00 Guinness, Harp, or Smithwicks pints all night. Sweet by the way 1/2 price apps 3 to 7 on Fridays doesn't hurt either.

We live close by and are very glad for the new addition to the neighborhood. We have eaten here a few times now However, when we went in tonight for dinner we were told that happy hours was on with $5 Bloody Marys and $3 draft beers. We ordered several of both. But when the bill arrived, we were told we were given wrong information. The manager would not change the cost to what we were told when we ordered. I found this extremely poor customer service, especially for a beach restaurant during the slow winter period. Also when I told the manager that their website advertises happy hour everyday from 4 pm to 7pm he told us that he has no control over the website! The food was good, but beware because they will tell you a drink costs you one price but will charge you a higher price!! Debbie R

This is a slghtly upscale Irish Pub in the heart of Rehoboth Beach. My kids and I ate there last week for the first time. We each ordered a special shrimp dinner, though we had the orders prepared in different ways. The orders were good, but nothing special. The fried version appeared breaded a little heavily. The broiled shrimp were decent size, but there was nothing special in their preparation. The fries apparently were good. Fries are always good in Rehoboth Beach. (Alas for those of us watching our weight.) The service was inoffensive. Given the average quality of our food, I was surprised by the 20 minute wait early in the dinner time hours. But all you really need at the beach is to serve decent food and not be a rip-off. Stoney Lonen at least qualifies in those respects. I wil try this restaurant again.

This Irish Pub is a destination for food rather than beer. They have the standard Guiness, Harp, and Smithwicks, but a better craft beer selection can be had elsewhere. No, you come here for the food. My wife had the crab cakes and a house salad to start. Wow! both were wonderful! I had the fish tacos and a cup of the seafood stew. The stew was smooth, not salty or harsh, just a balanced flavor. The fish tacos were excellent! Three tacos were a huge meal. I have never had fish tacos like these, unique and wonderful. We vacation every year in Rehoboth and plan to dine at Stoney Lonen next time.

My friend and I really enjoyed the Monday night price fixe menu and had fantastic service at this summery restaurant. For $20, we had a fantastic salad, grilled Mahi Mahi with asparagus and top notch desserts. Great service, wonderful bread and plentiful water (greatly appreciated on a sweltering day). I would make a point of going back for the Monday night special.

Friends and I went for the three course special. The seafood stew was really good. The steak was good, but the mashed potatoes really took some salt and pepper. Service is always good.

Great place! Wish the bar prices were a little less considering it is on Long Neck and not in Rehoboth Beach or Lewes. I'm a big fan of places that make their Shepherd's pie with lamb, as opposed to hamburger. The rum raisin bread pudding-- can't say how fabulous it is. Not normally a desert guy, but no way I'm leaving without it.

Had a really bad meal here last weekend. I've been here in the past and it's always been good. Not sure if they're under new ownership or have a new chef or what. The crab cakes recommended by the server were mediocre at best. I like a crab cake that is all crab and not heavy on the filler..not the case here. Dining companions had lobster tail stuffed with crab imperial and grouper. Crab imperial also missed the mark and was described as very "mayonnaisey" and the lobster was very tough. Grouper was very heavily breaded. The only non-starch vegetable offered was asparagus which I thought odd. I'm giving two stars for the server and $5 Svedka martinis. With so many other offerings in town I don't know that I'd give them another try. Oh, it was second entree half price night, so that at least made the bad food a tad more palatable.

seriously this place is sooo good!!! We had to move last year and are now having withdrawls! The fish tacos are the best I have ever had, simple yet delicious. The lamb was tasty as well. If your going in the winter, call first because they may have specials at certain hours etc... I like how they have a larger dining room, then an intimate section with street views. Service has always been good. I cannot wait until we can go back!

I have had good meals here and meals that had to be sent back. I've come to the conclusion that the seafood must be delivered & fresh on the weekends. If you go on a weekend you can't go wrong. Watch out on the weekday. The scallops are very good. Im not a fan of the crab cakes simply because they seem to have a lot of chives & leave a bad after taste. Overall a well rounded menu and the service has always been decent. I love the atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a romantic meal.

My husband and I ate here as our first meal in Rehoboth Beach. We came in on a Friday afternoon for the advertised 1/2 price fish & chips, which were the best fish & chips I've ever had. So good!! We ate at the bar, as the "restaurant" wasn't open yet. Nice bartender. The bread is quite good and we also tried the chocolate pecan pie (I couldn't resist, being a Southern girl and a chocolate lover.) Yummy pie, but the fish & chips was so good it didn't need a dessert to follow.

Last year it was three stars and the year before it was four. This a slowly fading restaurant that was once at least vaguely ethnic and now struggles to even keep the beer cold. Sad.
